Tulip HillThe artists we love.

A mutual love is shared...
between these artists and our winery. They have been generous in featuring our labels, tulips, and bottles in their work, and we feel fortunate to have their artwork featured in our tasting rooms. They are extremely talented each in their own mediums, offering unique impression of their love of nature, wine and the beauty they find within them.

Diana Ahrens
Diana’s artwork has been called tantalizing and seductive. Diana’s work is a direct reflection of herself as the artist and embodies romance, love, and beauty, with a twist of lightheartedness. Her brilliant colors and unique artistic technique have awarded her distinction as a truly innovative artist. Diana’s work has been seen in the Whitney Museum of Art in New York and has been sold across the country and internationally.

Diana Ahrens began her artistic career in 1979 painting aerial photography in Toledo, Ohio. Later, in 1991, she apprenticed as a stain glass artist at Cristallo Glass Studio in Toledo. After her apprenticeship there, she studied with a 5th generation glass master from Germany. She designed and built custom stain glass windows and other works, both original and antique while at the Cristallo Studio. In 1994 Diana created a glass mosaic dining tabletop for the Andy Warhol "Art for Campbell Soup" contest. Diana’s piece was later displayed in the Whitney.

In March of 1996 she and her husband moved to Reno, Nevada where her studio is presently located.
Her mixed media technique has been an evolution from high-end stained glass work, glass mosaic design, and painting in fine acrylics and hand-rolled pastels. Her artwork today consists of metal leaf and layer after layer of acrylic paint and pastels, followed with special cuts of stained glass and an extraordinary finish coat. Look into each piece for the subtle shimmer in the underlying base coats, the fine detail of the layers of pastels, and the sometimes deceiving three dimensional highlights of the hand cut stained glass. T.A. Rogers
Terry Allen Rogers is a native Californian; born and raised in the San Diego area. Over the years he has slowly migrated to the North Bay by way of the coast, living for a time in Ventura & Santa Cruz.

Terry's inspiration came at an early age from his father who, while in the U.S. Army, ran a photo lab in New York, developing photos of the front lines in World War II. His upbringing was full of constant images of his dad’s face behind the lens of a Nikon on every vacation and at every event. This is where he learned to appreciate being able to capture a moment of interest or beauty and turn it into a lasting image. His love of photography quickly turned into a life long passion and serious hobby.

Most of Terry's photography reflects the beauty of the various local wine regions as well as the surrounding countryside and all that nature provides. Terry philosophy is that... 'Every day I find something in this wonderful landscape that begs to be captured. The excitement for me is to bring just the right light and just the right image together to share with others the beauty that is all around us."

Terry and his wife, Sabrina, have made their home in Hidden Valley Lake, Ca. for the past 16 years. View Terry's bright and vibrant photography next time you visit our Nice tasting room. (Link to his website coming soon.)

Michael Godard
Godard's work is highly collected by movie stars, rock stars, private collectors, from young to old from all walks of life. Godard's imaginative world of art is seen by millions of people each month world wide such as cruise lines, galleries, hotels, television, magazines and countless merchandising kiosks and stores. His paintings even adorn the
walls of the officer's lounge in the Pentagon.

Godard's world of art invites us in to his lighthearted perspective of life that surrounds us, mirroring our lives through martinis with animated olives, drunken grapes, dancing strawberries, including his own vices of gambling and the good life. Godard's unique portrayal of fun is an exciting combination of imagination and often subtle humor which evoke and engage the creative side in "Olive" us. Paintings depicting drunken grapes, gangster olives, dancing strawberries, and flaming dice have taken the conservative art world and turned it on its heel redefining art as we know it with a new definition and of course a punch line.

Today Michael Godard is considered one of the most prolific and influential artists of our time. Michael Godard was inspired by our wine label and painted the "Lover's Moon" back in 2001, before our Rancho Mirage tasting room opened. View his work and find out more about this incredible artist.
