Jeff Brown
Following in his Dad's farming footsteps, Jeff the youngest of Budge and Arlene's sons presides over the entire vineyard growing practices. Jeff is the one responsible for producing the finest fruit, which go into Tulip Hill's extraordinary wines.

Jeff has a unique ability to talk to and understand the grapes. Jeff has often said that he can look at a vineyard and it will tell him when it's happy or sad, thirsty or hungry. With Jeff's care, it responds. The deep, gravelly soil, nonexistent water table allow Jeff to decide the berry size and crop load that will affect the quality of the juice. If the "berries" are allowed to have too much moisture they will become too large. Larger berries, particularly in the red varietal, will produce a wine that become diluted or thin. It will lack a deep rich color, depth of character, and fullness in the mouth.

Jeff and His Family
Jeff and his wife Jackie have been married for 13 years. They have two beautiful kids, Jeffrey Jr. who is 8, and Jessica who is 4. Their home is nestled in the Mt. Oso vineyards. The family enjoys 4-wheeling and bicycling in the vineyards.
